NAB rolls out tool for instant approval of conditional home loans

NAB today officially launched a new, simpler, easier and more convenient way for customers to get conditional approval for a home loan.

NAB goAHEAD allows NAB customers to request conditional approval for a new home loan online 24/7 and receive an instant response.

“We save our clients time and stress, and help them bid on a property with confidence,” said Meg Bonighton, General Manager of NAB Home Lending.

The new feature is believed to be the most comprehensive online conditional home loan approval currently available in Australia. It takes, on average, about 15 minutes to complete, with some customer information pre-populated in the form, saving customers time and effort.

“So far Australians have only been able to receive a rough guide to what they can borrow through online forms. What we give customers through NAB goAHEAD is genuine conditional approval – just as they would receive if they spoke directly with a NAB banker,” Ms Bonighton said.

“With NAB goAHEAD, clients can complete the application, receive conditional approval and make an offer on a property the same day with the certainty that they are backed by NAB.”

As part of the app, customers are asked about their financial status, including employment, income, assets, and expenses. As with all conditional home loan approvals, NAB will need to verify the client’s financial situation and the security purchased, and verify that the loan is suitable for the client. Eligibility criteria for using the app also apply.

NAB goAHEAD was developed by NAB’s innovation center, NAB Labs, which focuses on creative ways to design new products and services for customers.

“NAB wants to create a seamless online experience for our customers, and helping them easily apply for a home loan anywhere, anytime is key to that,” Ms. Bonighton said.

“We have also integrated live chat functionality into NAB goAHEAD so that we can help customers through this process if they need help.”

NAB goAHEAD is enabled through NAB Internet Banking and NAB’s original personal banking platform. The new platform was rolled out across the organization this year to better integrate systems and information so customers get the same experience and guidance on products and services, which they call NAB, go at a NAB branch or visit the NAB website.

“Customers who complete this application online will be able to seamlessly continue their conversation with a NAB banker at a branch or in our contact center,” Ms Bonighton said.

NAB’s home personal banking platform also allows customers to upload, receive and accept loan documents online, and receive internet banking and SMS updates over the Internet. progress of their request.

“This is a significant step forward in our decision to fully digitize the home loan experience so that customers can make their dreams of home ownership easier, simpler and easier,” said Ms Bonighton. .
